The El Cajon native in the Hendrick No. 48 Chevy started from the 19th position in last year’s race, overtook Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick in overtime after a restart and won it a year ago for his 77th career victory – his 10th career title on the track and sixth as it has been named Auto Club Speedway.

US to confront China over ‘unacceptable’ auto policies: Report

The White House is planning to confront Beijing over perceived injustices in its automobile industry, Axios News reported late on Sunday.

President Donald Trump’s team, including chief strategist Steve Bannon and National Trade Council director Peter Navarro, finds Chinese policy on U.S. car imports “unacceptable” and are currently working on a negotiation strategy, Axios said.
